A recent study came out talking about the affects of sitting for long periods of time on humans. The results were pretty bad! According to MedicalBillingandCoding.org, “from increased risk of heart disease and obesity in the long term, to sharply hampered cholesterol maintenance in the short term, the negative health effects of sitting are starting to weigh heavily against the benefits.” This study of course hits home pretty hard as I spend approximately 9-14 hours a day sitting at my desk either fulfilling my day-job duties as a Social Media Manager or working on freelance Internet marketing and digital media campaigns.
